Dr. Ali Arif Ozzeybek, through his clinical practice and his participation in the ICOI, has been instrumental in increasing interest in dental implantology in Turkey. By organizing and promoting seminars and other education opportunities for his colleagues, he makes an outstanding contribution to the field of dentistry in general and the specialty of dental implantology in particular. His efforts on behalf of our profession benefit both practitioners and their patients and I encourage all to take advantage of the programs he presents. The 6 days scientific programs of Meffert Implant Institute have been held since 2006. At that program, 15 academicians from Turkey will discuss two books that are written by two distinguished clinicians. With the guidance of “Biology Harvesting Grafting For Dental Implants” by Arun K. Garg, graft elevating and widening and the use of allogenic tissues in block configuration will be studied step by step with operations. With the second book named as “Dental Implant Prosthetics” written by Dr. Carl E. Misch, the importance of implant designs, single tooth applications, fixed implant restorations, excessive loadings, early loadings and maintenance of implants at restorative implant applications will be studied. In addition to these the live applications will throw a light on very important subjects related to these programs. The disciplines of dental implantology and very important subjects will be discussed in details. Dr. Ali Arif Ozzeybek has made a very important contribution in the area of dental implantology and achieved an increasing interest to that area in Turkey by both his clinical applications and his active membership to ICOI. He has organized seminars for his colleagues and supported education opportunities by this way he made a very important contribution to dentistry in general and to dental implantology specifically. His effort helps both our practitioners and their patients. Therefore I advice everyone to benefit from the programs he organizes. .
